Friday was our town's tree lighting fest. We headed down to see Santa come and light our big Christmas tree in town. Then we took a trolley ride and got off at Nielsen's bakery to decorate sugar cookies. Mia enjoyed being outside and did pretty good considering she stayed up past her bedtime. Saturday was Flossmoor's Winterfest. We went to the library to see Santa. When Mia saw him, she ran the other way so we didn't even try to make her sit on his lap. We enjoyed hot cocoa and walked around the winterfest and listened to the carolers. Then we did our traditional dinner at the brewery to enjoy their chocolate fondue! It was fun. Santa came in and when he came up to Mia, she gave him a big smile and was happy to see him. So hopefully when we have our breakfast with Santa next Saturday she won't run away again. She does say his name and will say HO HO HO when we talk about him. We have a huge stuffed santa at home that she loves to hug and carry around with her. The weather has turned cold - I think winter is here to stay. Stay warm everyone!!
