Mia singing the blues

Mia started her enrichment class last week called "lunches around the world" where they learn about different cultures. Last week they visited China. So, Mia insisted on eating everything with her chopsticks even using them at our local Mexican restaurant.

Here Mia is being silly with dad singing the blues about Charlie aka pootsie.

Disney on ice

We had a great time at this years Disney on ice. Grandma gets depaul's club box for us which is great because Mia is able to invite friends. This year Sophie and her mom, Maria and her brother and mom, and our cousins Lyndsay and mady, grandma, the girls and me all went. The Tangeled segment with the lantern festival was a favorite.

Let it snow!

We had another snow storm last weekend The kiddos loved it, daddy took them sledding Saturday and Sunday. Mia got to skate in her new skates last Saturday too. She would not let me take a pic so this isn't the greatest.

The girls and I went to the the navy pier children's museum on Monday for mlk day. Another busy week coming up again!

20 months - Annie

A few days late...but the little stinkpot is now 20 months. Let's see, she is so darn cute it was hard to get mad at her when she drew all over the tv, walls and books with crayon and paint this week! She has really started to talk a ton. She is saying: Mia, daddy, Bosck, Pootsie, Mama, milk, bean, ball, no, uh oh, wow, yea, 1, 2, 3, bawoo (ballerina), ahahah (Thomas), peas, teeth, bath, please, more, moo, baa, woof woof, wawa (water), off, pancake, blue, blueberry, breakfast....that's all I can think of right now.

Baby Tillie

This week I started a new job - watching baby Tillie for a teacher friend. It went way smoother than I thought because she is the easiest baby ever. She had fun taking Mia to school, story hour, ballet class and all our other crazy running around we do each week. The girls love her, Mia is very caring and helpful with her and Annie loves saying baby and giving her the pacifier.

It finally snowed! The girls had fun playing in it despite the very cold weather!!

Ice skating

Mia started her ice skating lessons up again today. The class is three times bigger than last years! She really picked up where she left off and had fun. It'll be interesting to see her skills develop over the next sessions :)

MIA!

Annie said "Mia" today for the first time...she has been calling Mia "meme" for the past few weeks but today clear as day says Mia. It's so cute to see Mia's face when Annie first says a word, she is so amazed (as am I) like wow she really talks! So cute.

We were going to pick up Micah this afternoon and Mia says to Annie in the van, "You are my little swedish meatball" hehe....I made that for dinner last night but thought it was cute Mia turned it into an endearment.

2012!

Happy 2012! We took a trip out to Ohio to spend a long weekend with the Pattersons. It was a great time, we went to the Cleveland Zoo on Saturday to see the ball drop at noon for the kiddos. The girls had fun playing together and we all had a great time catching up. Mia and Annie loved playing with all the different toys at Ella and Charlotte's house. It's cute to see them all mature and interact on different levels as they grow.

2011 was a year of ups and downs...we are excited to see what 2012 brings. Here's to good health, peace and happiness this year!
