Mommy feels soooo very silly. I don't think Mia cut her first tooth after all! I swear I saw a tooth, even daddy saw it! But now it's no where to be found so we keep waiting!
We all played hooky on Friday and had a fun day together. We took Mia out for breakfast and she sucked on her first orange. It was so fun to have her sit in a highchair and let her eat with us!
We also visited Gymboree and signed up for our first class. We are excited to see Mia play with other kiddos.
She was very giggly this weekend and I managed to catch a few giggles on video - I have had some requests to post some updated videos so here you go! enjoy

first TOOTH!
So as I was blogging earlier, I just knew a tooth was coming. Today Mia and I were playing and I was making her giggle and all of a sudden, I see a little white thing on the top, left side of her gum. After about 5 minutes of trying to get her to open up for me, I SAW MIA'S FIRST TOOTH! I was super excited! All this time, we thought her teeth would first appear on her bottom gum. So I called Diane right away to see if she had noticed this today and just didn't tell me to not steal my thunder but she didn't notice! She too thought Mia's teeth would first appear on the bottom. Remember Mia crawled and then sat up? Normally babies get their bottom teeth first then their top...we know our little peanut likes to do things her OWN way!
Here are just a few pictures of Mia turning 7 months. She was a bit crabby when I took these but she is still a little tiny baby cutie!

bad mommy....
forgot to post Mia's 7 month pics! It was such a busy weekend! I promise to take some photos tomorrow when our little peanut is up (she is sleeping now for the night). She did get her first real haircut from mommy last night with daddy's help. And her first night without mommy and daddy went just fine. She slept great for grammy and greg and they had the best time with her. I have to admit, once I received a text from my mom saying she was asleep, I was able to enjoy my evening!

still no teeth...but she is back to sleeping through the night so maybe it was just a fluke few days she stopped eating for Diane? On Friday she was back on schedule. This morning, daddy took Mia on a nature walk while mommy took the beagles to their dog park (haven't been there in FOREVER long). We are doing errands and such today....but tonight, mommy and daddy are celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary be getting a nice hotel downtown, going out for dinner and spending the night! Grammy and Greg are coming again to watch Mia, this will be our first night away from her and I am nervous! I just will feel better when I know she is asleep. I am going to miss her so much!
Here is Mia sporting her new baby UGGS (mommy got a new pair to match).

growing growing growing!

Anyday now...I can feel two little bumps....I just know anyday now Mia's first teeth will make their appearance! It's amazing how fast she is growing! She is able to hold herself up standing for longer periods of time and reaches for things. Her fine motor skills are getting really good, she can pick things up with her index finger and thumb, she can pass things from one hand to the other and she loves rattling things. She also likes to tap things, the ottoman, her drum, Mommy's face, Daddy's belly..so cute! It's fun to just watch her now discover things and explore new toys or sounds. She flaps her arms when she is excited and is starting to grunt rather loudly when she doesn't like something (for example is Sophie doesn't go in her mouth the right way she will grunt, or if I take away something she shouldn't play with or if I put her on her back when she was crawling she will grunt).
This photo was from last weekend before mommy and daddy went on their date night!

happy baby
I take it as a HUGE compliment when other people tell me how happy Mia is! Today on her daily report at Diane's there was a huge HAPPY BABY comment by a visitor today....each day, honestly Diane writes that Mia is active (haha big surprise there) and HAPPY. It makes this mommy's heart feel great knowing that her little peanut is happy and smiling!! Isn't that the goal for all mom to have their little ones feel secure, loved and happy?!

baby legs

Mia's baby legs finally arrived in the mail! They are great! Especially now that the weather is getting cooler. We'll be ordering more now that I know how great they are. Look at how long her hair is getting! I think it may be time for a
trim, don't you? Hair clips are a must these days in order to keep her hair in place! Mia is doing great at her sitters. She is taking two great naps, one very long one and eating cereal with veggies/fruit twice a day. I feed her a snack when we get home usually just a fruit or barley and a fruit. We had to take Bosco to the vet on Saturday and they had a baby scale so we weighed Mia...she was 15 lbs 5 oz - still petite but growing for her nonetheless! Here she is sporting some of her new baby legs....trying to pull herself up, playing in her exersaucer and watching mommy get ready this morning in her bouncy.
