New Years!

The girls and I, despite the big snow storm, headed to the city for dinner at Big Bricks to celebrate grandmas birthday and the new year with Papo and Uncle Brian on New Years eve. Then we headed home at had a blast ringing in the New Year at a party we were invited to at Pastor Dave's house with some of our friends. We rang in the kid new year at 11pm and headed home earlier than midnight because Annie was tired but both girls did awesome staying up that late!! Lots of changes in store for 2014 but it's going to be a year of peace and new beginnings and we are excited!!

Christmas

Christmas was a lot of fun this year. The girls and I went to visit grandpa George then went to Aunt Stacy's for our Christmas Eve celebration! Christmas Day Santa came and we had a big breakfast. The girls went to the movies with Corey to see Frozen later in the day.

Let if Snow! and YaYa

On Friday, it was Annie's turn to bring home Yaya, her panda bear classroom mascot. Annie (and Mia) took excellent care of Yaya all weekend and we wrote a story and took lots of pictures of what Yaya did this weekend with the girls. Here, Annie is taking Yaya to church on Sunday morning. We woke up to our house being at 46 degrees - luckily mommy called a friend and we had the furnace fixed in no time. But the girls and I stayed out of the house by going out for breakfast, church then meeting Grandma and Papo for lunch at Flossmoor Station before...mia's first piano recital!

Saturday afternoon we had a blast at Willow hill, sledding down with Isla, Alex, Bennett and Ava. Then we went to our friend Priscilla's house down the block for a hot coco and cookie party - the kids had a great time!

Mia attended Breakfast with the Angels on Sunday and had fun seeing Sophie.

Mia performed "Greatest Show on Earth" and "Silent Night" first as a solo then as a duet with Miss Carrie. She did awesome and below is a picture of all of Mia's fellow piano students. The recital was followed by a hot coco and cookie party and then each student lead us in a Christmas sing-a-long, Mia sang "Frost the Snowman".

Catch up

Haven't blogged in forever!
We took our annual trip to the symphony last month to see " Stone Soup". The kids loved it then we went to Greek town for uncle Brian's birthday.

We put our tree up on Thanksgiving weekend.

And the girls' Christmas Pageant at school was last Friday. Mia was the lead Angel and Annie was a dive and sang "First Noel" with her panda room. It was great and the girls did a great job!

This weekend I took the girls to our towns Christmas festival with some friends. We also saw the Nutcracker and had lunch with some other friends.

And some silly pictures of Annie dancing with her buddy David.
